Soft Launch Studio is a one-person web design studio based in the United Kingdom. These terms cover design, build, launch and ongoing care of a website. Any quote or written agreement can add to or vary these terms, and where it does, the quote takes priority.

New websites start at £180. That covers up to two pages, for example a home page plus one extra page, or a single landing page. Each additional page is £75.

Shops, booking systems, memberships and directories take considerably more time, so they cost more. They are always quoted before work starts. A typical four-page brochure site (home, about, services, contact) is £180 + £150 = £330.

Domain names, hosting, third-party subscriptions, stock imagery and any paid plugins are separate costs unless the quote says otherwise. Prices are shown in pounds sterling.

A standard project includes design, build, mobile-first responsive layout, SEO-ready structure and basic on-page SEO, two rounds of design revisions, and a handover at launch. One month of support after launch is included.

Anything outside that — extra pages, extra revision rounds, copywriting, photography, e-commerce or booking functionality, integrations — is agreed and quoted separately before it is started.

Projects are usually split into a deposit before work starts and the balance before launch or on handover. The amounts and dates are set out in your quote. Ongoing care plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled with notice. Ad-hoc maintenance is billed for the time used, at the hourly rate in your quote.

A simple site usually launches in 1–3 weeks once the scope and content are ready. Shops and booking systems typically take 3–6 weeks. These are realistic guides, not guaranteed deadlines. Timelines depend on feedback, content and feature complexity, and are confirmed in your quote.

You agree to supply content, images, logos and any required access in good time, to give clear feedback, and to make sure you have the right to use anything you supply — including photographs and any text written by someone else.

Delays in supplying content or feedback will move the launch date.

Once the project is paid for, you own the website design, the content you supplied and the finished site. Your quote sets out ownership, access and handover, including what can be moved if you change provider, and explains any platform, hosting or third-party licences involved. There are no ownership surprises after launch.

Monthly care plans start at £25 per month and cover updates, backups, uptime checks and a set amount of edit time. Ad-hoc maintenance is charged at the hourly rate in your quote, with the time agreed before work starts.

Care plans do not include new features, redesigns or major content work — those are quoted separately.

Either side can end a project in writing. If a project is cancelled partway through, work completed up to that point is payable, and any deposit already paid covers that work.

The studio will do the work with reasonable care and skill, but cannot guarantee specific business results, search rankings or sales. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the project in question, and the studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for third-party services going down or changing their terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
